Kina is a set designer and artist based in New York. As a trained set designer, she has been fortunate to have had a varied career in theater, film/tv, and installation art. Selected work includes Lincoln Rhyme, The Flight Attendant, The Equalizer, The Time Traveler’s Wife, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Anastasia (Broadway), the Mentor Project at Cherry Lane Theater (2008 OBIE Award Winner), Company XIV, the Blue Man Group National Tour, and New York Fashion Week 2010 and 2011. Kina has been a collaborator to installation artist Anne Patterson since 2011.
From 2017 to 2019, Kina also worked as a project manager at Studio HIP Landscape Architecture, primarily on the Trust for Public Land's New York City Playgrounds Program. The program was created to include NYC's public school students in the design of their school's playground; it was through the participatory design process with the students that Kina realized her real dream was to connect to children through her art.
Ultimately, Kina would like her art to involve working with children--either through storytelling or designing film and television productions.
She is a member of IATSE, local 829.
